The Big East has invited five universities to join its conference. The universities are UCF (all sports), Houston (all sports), SMU (all sports), Boise St. (football only), and Air Force (football only). These schools have been informed that if they accept, the Big East would raise there exit fees to $10 million, which is a 100% increase. They have also extended an invite to Navy for football only. If Navy does not accept the offer Temple is next in line. One problem for Boise St. and Air Force is if they accept they would have to wait for the NCAA to vote to change a rule stating that no school can be in one confernce for football and another for its other sports. If these schools accept the Big East will soon have schools as far west as Colorado and Idaho.
